30th Birthday Celebration Cancelled After Booking 3 Months in Advance
I am extremely disappointed with how this restaurant handled our reservation. We booked our table over three months in advance to celebrate my 30th birthday during a special weekend trip from Wales to Paris. Just before our reservation, we received an email informing us that our booking had been cancelled because the restaurant had been booked exclusively for a private event. While I understand that private events happen, cancelling reservations that have been in place for months—especially for customers who have planned an entire trip around the booking—is incredibly disappointing. We travelled internationally for this birthday weekend, and having such an important reservation cancelled at the last minute completely disrupted our plans. What made this even more frustrating was the lack of consideration shown for customers affected by the cancellation. There was no meaningful apology, and no gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience caused. I expected much better customer service from a restaurant with this reputation. Sadly, what should have been a memorable birthday celebration became a very disappointing experience before we even had the chance to dine there.
