First class across the board at this charming little restaurant. Fresh, mode interior; stylish plating; warm, professional service—and outstanding food. They kindly helped me secure a reservation. We sampled four wines and settled on a 2018 Hungarian red. Starters of chilled sour cherry soup (bright and floral) and burrata caprese were excellent. Mains—filet mignon with gorgonzola, beef stew with tiny Hungarian dumplings, veal schnitzel, and a chicken paprika–tomato dish—were all spot on. The neighboring table’s Dover sole smelled incredible. Dessert crepes were light and buttery with bold Nutella and apricot flavors. The Hungarian dishes feel authentic—half the diners were Hungarian and all looked delighted. We had such a great time that I’m considering booking the entire place for a private event. A true gem and an instant keeper.
